Your First Time Using Awaken

We wrote this guide for clients who are using Foria Awaken for the very first time.

When your order arrives, you'll probably be excited to enjoy it ASAP, but take a moment to read the instructions below and watch this video, which covers both Awaken (CBD) and Pleasure (THC).

How To Use Awaken

Condoms? Use Non-Latex with Awaken...

Awaken is oil-based (both coconut oil and hemp extract and multiple essential oils). Oils can degrade latex. If you use latex condoms, dental dams, or other devices, do NOT combine with Awaken. Choose non-latex protection instead: nitrile or polyurethane are commonly available.

Because Awaken is oil-based and can degrade latex and poly-isoprene, we recommend choosing oil-safe barriers like polyurethane or nitrile condoms for protection from STIs and pregnancy (or lambskin for prevention of pregnancy but not STIs).

Several major condom brands offer polyurethane condoms. Just be sure they're "poly-urethane" NOT "poly-isoprene."

Toys & Vibrators

Awaken is happily compatible with silicone, glass, and other non-latex/non-plastic toys.

Read our blog on the subject for more information.

Allergies or Other Sensitivities? Go Slow...

While Awaken does not contain any synthetic compounds, petrochemicals, parabens, fragrances or additives, it does contain potent all-natural botanical extracts and oils.

Make sure you or your partner aren't allergic to any of the ingredients. (If you're unsure, you can spray on your wrist as a test.)

People with active yeast infections or other irritating skin conditions of the genitals, including razor burns, should refrain from using Awaken until the condition is resolved.

If you are aware of any existing skin conditions, including STI’s, please consult with your healthcare practitioners before using Awaken, and if you experience any discomfort while using Awaken, please discontinue use and consult with your healthcare practitioners.

Lube vs. Pre-Lube

Awaken is not a lube — although some have called it a "pre-lube" — it's a topical sex oil or natural arousal oil, designed to relax the nervous system and increase blood flow to the genitals for enhanced sensation & pleasure, while working holistically to ease stress & spark a mood of anticipation & decadent enjoyment.

Sex research shows that on average, compared to men, women experience a more gradual "arousal curve," and their arousal is closely connected to overall mood and tension. By taking time to slow down and enjoy the process of full-body sensuality, you help yourself (or your partner) tap into relaxation & desire.

Shake the Awaken bottle first.

Apply 4-6 sprays to a clean hand, then gently massage the inner and outer labia, clitoris, and especially inside the vagina.

Most people prefer this manual application technique, but you can also spray the product directly on intimate areas, and you can always massage it in with another body part or with a sex toy ...

Aroma: Scent is primal & powerful, rooted deep in your nervous system. The all-natural mint-chocolate aroma of Awaken helps create a mood of sensual enjoyment & deep relaxation.

Massage: Awaken adds just the right amount of glide for smooth manual stimulation. Gently massage it around the absorbent skin of the labia, clitoris and anywhere else that feels good. As Awaken is absorbed into the skin, feel free to use extra sprays if you desire a smoother glide.

After Awaken has had time to be absorbed, you should feel free to use a natural oil or lubricant product if you like, but always use Awaken first to ensure proper absorption.

Oral: Awaken is also lickable, so it's safe — and fun — to use during oral pleasure. Who wouldn't enjoy a sensual mint-chocolate feast of love?

Effects: Awaken can feel both cooling & warming on the skin, stimulating capillary dilation, engorgement of erectile tissue, muscle relaxation, and enhanced sensation while diminishing tension & pain.

  • Multiple orgasms. Spray it on, sit back and relax for 15-20 minutes. Do your thing. The orgasms will come! More than once! Partner will enjoy as well, no matter how you decide to share it! ;)
Want triple pleasure? Couple of drops of tonic under your tongue, and a suppository inserted where the moon shines and HELLOO! A nice long inhale of Flow is an EXTRA added bonus. Make it a slow draw, though, because it is potent and DELICIOUS!!

  • I don’t experience dryness or pain during sex but my hubby bought it for me to enhance my orgasm as it states it would. We have use it at least a dozen times and in every instance, I feel more pleasurable during foreplay and during my orgasm, especially during the second or third time. I would highly recommend it to any gal that wants to bring her orgasm to the next level.
